The Olmsted Village development is positioned uniquely between the urban edge of the Mattapan neighborhood fabric and the Boston Nature Center and Wildlife Sanctuary. This site provided a chance to bridge the gap between the underserved community and nature. The central focus on addressing the ‘Nature Gap’ guided the entire development process, influencing everything from the overarching Master Plan to the intricate details of building design and facade development.
