Princeton University took on building them a new home aiming to create a research neighborhood that reflects the importance of environmental studies and engineering on campus. Carefully integrated into the surrounding context and pedestrian connectivity was a challenge solved through a year-long planning and visioning effort.

With the foundation of the Master Plan design in place, the design effort moved into the formation of the building visioning. A continuous fluidity between indoor and outdoor spaces and navigating the grade change and verticality of the building became the drivers of the desired user experience.
